It was interesting, but the guide was hard to understand as he switches between Spanish and English every sentence. Before I realized he was speaking English, he had gone back to speaking Spanish. It would be better if he tells the whole story in Spanish, and then the whole story in English, without switching back and forth constantly. Even better if they have an English only tour I would pay extra for that.

however the bus that was provided was very small and the seats where more for the size of children than adults which was very uncomfortable since it took 2 hrs to get to santo domingo and a bit longer on the way back since there was more traffic

The tour was great once it started! However I was unable to reach the company the day before to find out my pickup time, so I wound up waiting 1.5 hours for them to arrive. I don't know if the local phone number I was provided was incorrect, or if something was wrong, but it was constantly busy. Otherwise, it was a great tour!

The historical sights in Santo Domingo were quite interesting, as were the caves we stopped at on the outskirts of the city. But, all in all, there weren't a lot of sights to visit after spending 3 hours one-way on a mini-bus with inadequate seating school-bus type seats not wide enough to seat two adults comfortably. And the obligatory stops at tourist shops were simply annoying. Unfortunately, my wife also picked up a stomach bug at the restaurant where the tour stopped for lunch, which made her remaining few days in the Dominican Republic very uncomfortable indeed.

L'excursion en elle même est tout à fait plaisante le guide bilingue espagnol-anglais et connaissant parfaitement l'histoire de la République dominicaine et celle de Santo Domingo.
Toutefois, ayant réservé une excursion avec guide français, afin de profiter pleinement des explications, anecdotes et récits, je ne peux être satisfait de cette réservation.
Par ailleurs, le bus n'était pas franchement confortable surtout pour 4 heures de trajet et les arrêts achats très dirigés.
Le niveau global de la prestation est à revoir.

It is a long bus ride. We understood that prior to the trip. The bus seats were extremely small, very narrow, fit only one and 1/2 adult. This made for an uncomfortable ride for three hours each way. A/C was minimal at best. On the way to Santo Domingo we took two side trips, the first was in a coastal town at a souvenir store with aggressive sales folks, why did we stop there? the second was to some major league baseball endorsed parks not on the agenda. Why? The tour guide was knowledgeable, but saying everything in both English/Spanish became annoying. Constant chatter all the way there. However, some pertinent historical facts were provided. The first stop in the city was to an underground cavern with small water features which were fascinating and quite beautiful. The tour guide however said maybe two words the entire time and then was insulted when left a small tip. The second stop in the city is to a stone museum for Larimar and Amber. Hot, hot, hot in the building. Not very interesting, we were bored and sweaty. Next up was lunch. We dined in a historical area that was on the first paved road in the America's. Lunch was a buffet and was not too bad. Great atmosphere. We were then off on a short walk to see the house built by Columbus's son, pretty amazing that the building was still there and contained actually artifacts that Columbus used. Learned that much of the building was actually destroyed. Maybe a self guided audio tour would have been better than the guide we had. Hard to understand the guide, spoke softly and very accented. Then off to first cathedral of the New World, a most beautiful church. This was a self guided audio tour and the highlight of the trip for us. Amazing. Long bus ride back. Guide provided us with authentic DR bread and some rum. Overall was not a good tour. But the Old World was worth seeing.

KNOWLEGEABLE AND NFORMATIVE GUIDE. TRIP MUCH TOO LONG, OVER 14 HRS FROM PICKUP TO DROP OFF TOO MUCH TIME SPENT AT SHOPS. WITH LOCAL MERCHANDISE AND THE AMBER MUSEUM.. ENJOYED TRES OJOS AND TOUR OF THE CITY. LUNCH TOO LATE IN THE DAY. TOUR OF THE CITY TOO LATE IN THE DAY , EXHAUSTING AND VERY HOT. SANDRO OUR GUIDE WAS FLUENT IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH BUT SPEAKS SO FAST THAT IT WAS OFTEN HARD TO UNDERSTAND HIS. ENGLISH. WISH YOU OFFERED ENGLISH ONLY TOURS. IT WAS TEDIOUS HAVING EVERYTHING REPEATED IN ENGLISH AND IN SPANISH. ALTHOUGH WELL INFORMED THE MANY DATES AND DETAILS WERE ALSO EXCESSIVE.

PASEO MUY RECOMENDABLE. EL GUIA SANDRO NOS ENSEÑO SOBRE LA HISTORIA Y GEOGRAFIA DE REPUBLICA DOMINICANA CON MUCHA DEDICACION. CIUDAD COLONIAL MUY LINDA DE RECORRER A PIE. ALMUERZO EN RESTORAN COLONIAL CON DANZAS TIPICAS MUY DIVERTIDO. VALE LA PENA.
