2-Day Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tour with Overnight at Hunters Resort

Escape to the Hunter Valley on this 2-day tour from Sydney. Visit several Hunter Valley wineries whilst also having free time to try some of the many other activities available, such as hot air ballooning, cycling or horse riding. You will spend the night at the 4-star Hunter Resort before returning to Sydney the following day.

Day 1: Sydney / Hunter Valley

Travel over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and head north bound for wine country. We cross over the Hawkesbury River to enter into the Hunter Valley one of the finest wine regions in Australia. Your first stop will be for morning tea (own expense) at Wollombi, a quaint and tiny historic Goldrush township. A delicious lunch is served atthe Hunter Resort. Enjoy a delicious two course luncheon. From Lindemans Winery you'll head to Hunter Valley Cellars arriving at approximately 3.15pm. From here your coach captain will transfer you to your accommodation at Hunter Valley Resort. The rest of your afternoon and evening is free to relax and take in the region.

Accommodation: The Hunter Resort Country Estate, located in the heart of the Hunter Valley Wine Country, is nestled amongst its own vineyards and incorporates an exquisite Restaurant, Wine Tasting Cellars, excellent 4-star accommodation and the Hunter's largest winery.

Day 2: Hunter Valley / Sydney

Departs Hunter Resort 3.15 p.m. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, the day is at your leisure to arrange further winery tours, enjoy a game of golf, or take a walk through the Arts and Crafts shops in the area. Please note, check out time is 11am however, your luggage can be kept at the hotel until required. Your coach captain will collect you from your accommodation at approximately 3.15pm and take you to the quaint township of the Hunter Valley Gardens. Here, you will have free time to explore the many hidden delights in the garden village - why not try the chocolate shop. Enjoy the opportunity to taste premium wines in the unique atmosphere of the Hunter Valley's only underground cellars. After departing Hunter Valley Gardens we head back to Sydney via Freeman's Waterhole and the Expressway to arrive approximately at 7.00pm. Hotel drop offs to most city hotels are available, please ask your driver.
