When young Albert Narracott’s horse, Joey, is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France at the beginning of WWI, Albert takes it upon himself to bring his beloved horse home. Too young to enlist in the military, he finds himself on a dangerous mission to find his horse, Joey, who ends up serving in both the British and German armies.
Based on Michael Morpurgo’s celebrated novel, War Horse takes you on a roller coaster of emotions and brings life-sized horse puppets to the stage (these aren’t your average string puppets – the horses are so extraordinary, they won a special Tony Award).
