This Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator was in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre. There were several of them willing to pose with you for a photo for tips. This fellow was the one who looked most like the original in my opinion.
Roosevelt Hotel
This photo of the Roosevelt Hotel was taken from Grauman's Chinese Theatre, which was the site of the first Oscars in 1929. Marilyn Monroe and Montgomery Clift are two of the personalities who reportedly haunt this hotel. I stayed there four nights, but not in one of the haunted rooms.
Chinese Theatre
The center of Hollywood is Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Tours depart from it and tourists congregated around it --- hunting for the hand and footprints of their favorite stars. I was walking along Hollywood Boulevard in front of the El Capitan Theatre when I took this shot.
