Excellent tour and very good tour guide in Paris.

We booked our tour thru Viator and had a good experience. We took Eurostar over from London to Paris. We were met by our tour guide Sam at the train station. We rode the double decker bus around first for a tour and then proceeded to Eiffel Tower. We took a one-hour river cruise on Seine river. The Eiffel Tower was very busy so went to the Louve instead and were able to see famous Mona Lisa and a few other items of interest before heading on. We went to Notre Dame Cathedral. We had enough time to do a little shopping and stop at a cafe for crepes before meeting back up with the group. We were then taken back to train station for travel back to London. We had a small group which was nice. We were able to fit a lot into a short time frame thanks to Sam.

Overall, my experience was very positive. The guide was friendly and helpful and flexible about trying to accommodate the different goals of members of the group.
There were a few issues that might be mentioned.
1) Due to problems with the lifts/elevators the Eiffel Tower tour was replaced with a Louvre tour. Personally, I was very happy with this as I was much more interested in the Louvre.
The printed description of the tour I had received had said this change might take place and I had no problem with it. Several other members of the party said their tour descriptions had not mentioned this possible substitution and initially some were very distressed. The guide did try to work out alternatives (since the people involved were going to be in Paris a second day, she suggested they could take the Eiffel tour later) .
I believe in the end the unhappy people were satisfied.
2) The guide who was a young woman walked much more briskly than many of the group members who were older people, including myself. I did get left behind once, though fortunately in circumstances that permitted me to rejoin the tour later. I think guides should be advised to adjust their pace to the pace of their groups.
3) Many of the older group members incluiding myself urgently needed more restroom breaks. After repeated requests, the guide told us that a restroom was available at one site but did not warn us that it was a pay facility requiring a specific kind of Euro coin to function. A change machine was available but
this caused considerable additional confusion and delay. Later in the tour we were at sites with free facilities so the problem became more manageable.
Overall, I did enjoy the tour.

Enjoyable, we got a smart tour guide, he had tried to shorten the time for quene and we can better use our time in Paris.

Paris is a beautiful city and well worth visiting. You would want more than a day though as there was such a line up for each of the sites we didn't get to go into any of them and just took pictures from the outside. We took the independant tour option which I'm glad we did as we got to look at what we wanted and could take our time.
