Your first stop on the Auckland Great Day Out is the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park, situated between Mission Bay and Okahu Point. The park has panoramic harbor-side views over Whenua Rangatira, the city of Auckland and Waitemata Harbour.
Visit the shopping area of Parnell Village and browse its historic buildings that have been transformed into boutiques, antique stores, craft stores and specialty shops. Then continue on to the Auckland Zoo and enjoy the Native New Zealand Encounter show, featuring New Zealand’s national symbol, the flightless kiwi!
Next up is the famous Waitemata Harbour, where you’ll enjoy a 90-minute cruise aboard the Pride of Auckland sailing yacht. Sit back and relax, or try your hand at sailing. Complimentary tea or coffee and homemade muffins are included.
Finish your Auckland experience at the top of the Sky Tower. At 1076 feet (328 meters), it’s the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere. On a clear day, it offers breathtaking views for more than 50 miles (80 kilometers) in every direction.
