Kuranda, in Queensland, is a small tropical town of just 700 people, located along the Barron River just 15 miles (25km) northwest of Cairns. Kuranda is the end-point of the popular Kuranda Scenic Railway from Cairns, and home to popular attractions like the Kuranda Skyrail gondola and Cairns Wildlife Safari Zoo.
